Itinerary

Pucón Climbing Retreat Itinerary

Eight days balance four focused climbing days with arrival, recovery, and departure time. The guide may adjust crags and activities for weather, rock, and group conditions.

Day 1

Arrival In Pucón

Meet at La Araucanía International Airport in Temuco for the transfer to Soley Hostel. Settle in with a gear check, route and safety orientation, an optional Alma Boulder warm-up or lakefront walk, and a welcome dinner on the terrace.

Day 2

El Cerdúo — Granite Sport Climbing

Spend a full day on more than 50 granite routes across south-, east-, and north-facing sectors. Technical slabs, balance-focused climbing, and physical overhangs offer options from approximately 5.8 to 5.12 after a short approach.

Day 3

Rest And Explore

Choose a restorative Pucón day with included kayak or paddleboard access from the hostel shore. Optional plans include sailing, hot springs, or an Alma Boulder session, with time to explore town or relax at Soley Hostel.

Day 4

El Cerdúo — Projecting And Via Ferrata

Return to El Cerdúo to work harder routes or explore the upper sectors. Mixed-ability groups may opt for the roughly 300-metre Cerdúo Via Ferrata through lenga forest to an exposed ridge above the valley.

Day 5

Relicura — Overhanging Conglomerate

Climb steep, high-friction conglomerate on the Caburgua road. This endurance-focused venue rewards efficient movement and stamina, and its overhang makes it the circuit's preferred option during light rain.

Day 6

El Cañi — Forest Sport Crag

Travel toward Laguna San Jorge for a scenic day among around 15 mostly sport routes in the 6a–6c range. The crag sits in a forest amphitheatre with araucaria views and a roughly 20-minute approach.

Day 7

Rest, Recovery And Farewell Asado

Enjoy a final flexible day for hot springs, Pucón town, or an easy top-rope session at El Cerdúo, followed by a group Patagonian barbecue and trip debrief.

Day 8

Departure

Take in a free morning and final lake views before transferring to La Araucanía International Airport in Temuco or your onward connection.
