Founder of Andes Explora and an interdisciplinary outdoor professional who has spent fifteen years building original adventure programs across Chile.
Program Design & Operations
Matías founded Andes Explora in 2011 and has spent fifteen years creating routes, combinations of sports, and destinations that were not previously available as organized programs.
His work is grounded in direct relationships with landowners and local operators. He designs the programs, negotiates each partnership, and remains accountable for operations from initial planning through delivery.
He knows Chile through hiking and backpacking, enduro and trail mountain biking, backcountry skiing, sea kayaking, wing foiling, and rock climbing. He works in Spanish and English.
