About Us

Climbing Chile, Differently

A Chilean team of mountain guides, climbers, and outdoor professionals creating climbing journeys in places few visiting climbers can access on their own.

Andes Explora was founded in 2011 around a simple conviction: some of Chile's best terrain lies in places that few operators are equipped to share. Since then, the team has travelled, climbed, skied, hiked, and paddled from the Atacama Desert to the Patagonian fjords.

Across more than four thousand kilometres, Chile's granite, basalt, conglomerate, and limestone are often found on private land or far from the nearest town. We connect that rock with thoughtful logistics, direct local relationships, and the people who know each landscape best.

We believe a climbing holiday should offer more than a checklist of destinations. It should bring climbers into close contact with nature, create space to recharge, and send guests home with lasting friendships, stories, and a deeper sense of place.

Our team brings together IFMGA/UIAGM-certified mountain guides, local guides with decades of experience in their valleys, and a trusted network of families and businesses. The first retreat begins in La Araucanía, and the same locally grounded approach will travel wherever the rock is worth the journey.
